Don't let too much living get in the way of living

Many times I find myself not knowing where the day went. For instance today once church was over we went out to eat got home I intended on doing some writing and then all of the sudden I was watching the Falcons get hosed on a call by the ref. then it was time to take Breelyn to a fall festival. Then those popular words, "man where did the day go" Sometimes we need to slow down a little bit and relax and assess what we are spending our time on, and do things that glorify the Lord(disclaimer: there is nothing wrong with watching football, I love doing it ecspecially UGA). God is in control and that will never change. I find myself procrastinating on some of the things that I should not procrastinate on for instance, my school work, because I have told myself that I work better under pressure. When actually I don't do my best work because I'm just doing it to get finished. I say all this because many times we let other things get in the way of our relationship with Christ. Our job, spouse, kids, shopping, hunting, sports, and even ministry can get in the way. Those things can become what we worship. Simply put we worship what is at the center of our life. Many times I have examined my life and I have to remind my soul to praise just as David did in the Psalms. Don't let little things get in the way from worshipping your Savior. After all that's what we were created to do.
